Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition (IEMCC)

The IEMCC is one of the most authoritative international moot court competitions, which is held at Stetson University in Tampa, Florida, U.S.A. Teams from all over the world participate in the IEMCC. This moot court judges the abilities of jurists through the International Environment Law. In partnership with the IEMCC of Stetson University, the East Asian Regional Rounds (EARR) is to be held at Soongsil University in Korea. In 2020 for the ninth time, the EARR will be held with the topic “Protection of Bats and International Trade Measures”.

East Asia Regional Rounds (EARR) 2020-2021

The East Asia Regional Rounds is hosted by Soongsil University. This year’s competition is to be held in Seoul, Korea, from November 17th to 21st. The EARR offers students from Asia the opportunity to sharpen their abilities, to think with a legal mind, to learn about international and environmental law, and to foster international cooperation. The EARR moot court competitions host lots of events including an international conference, parties, banquets, and Seoul tour, as well as preliminary and final matches. Due to pandemic, this year’s most events will take place online. Teams from East Asia should compete in the EARR to qualify for the International Finals at Stetson University.

대한민국 최초로 개최된 국내 유일의 국제 모의재판

매년 3월말 미국 플로리다 주 소재의 스텟슨 대학에서 개최되는 국제환경법 모의재판 경연대회는 가장 권위 있는 국제모의재판 대회 가운데 하나로서 전세계의 각 지역 예선을 거친 수십 개의 팀들이 참가하여 국제 환경법을 매개로 법률가로서의 능력을 경쟁하게 됩니다. 숭실대학교는 스텟슨 대학과의 파트너십 협약에 따라 같은 대회의 동아시아 지역 예선인 숭실대학교 국제모의재판 경연대회를 개최합니다. 올해로 아홉 번째 대회인 숭실대학교 국제모의재판 경연대회는 ‘Protection of Bats and International Trade Measures’ (박쥐 보호와 국제 무역 조치의 갈등)이라는 주제로 개최됩니다

숭실대학교 국제모의재판 경연대회는 올해 서울에서 2020년 11월 17일부터 11월 21일까지 개최됩니다. 숭실대학교 국제모의재판 경연대회는 아시아 학생들의 능력을 향상시키고, 법적 사고를 가지고 국제법과 환경법에 대해 배우고 국제 교류를 증진할 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다. 숭실대학교 국제모의재판 경연대회에서는 예선전과 결승전을 포함해 국제컨퍼런스, 파티, 만찬, 그리고 서울 투어 등과 같은 프로그램이 진행되며, 동아시아의 팀들이 스텟슨 대학에서 열리는 본선에 참가하기 위해서는 숭실대학교 국제모의재판 경연대회를 거쳐야 합니다.
